ACT Rochester's engagement with, and impact on, our regional community is particularly focused in the areas of Race, Poverty, and Education. ACT Rochester also maintains a website - www.ACTRochester.org - as a public utility, a comprehensive "one stop shop" for data and analysis, with over 100 indicators, as well as links to more than 300 community initiatives and resources. This information is strategically organized into nine areas of community interest: Arts, Culture and Leisure; Children and Youth; Community Engagement; Economy; Education; Financial Self-Sufficiency; Health; Housing; and Public Safety. ACT provides an objective assessment of the region's performance on key indicators of well-being. The region's nine counties are Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.
With few resources, and with only 1.5 staff persons, along with a volunteer advisory committee, ACT has demonstrated results in achieving meaningful community change and outcomes in Rochester. Donor support will help ACT Rochester continue this important work in helping our community be accountable for positive change.
