WHO WE ARE The Autism Council is a culturally diverse Rochester NY health & human service organization focused on the unique needs of individuals with Autism, Asperger's and developmental disabilities. The agency excels in providing high quality person centered services to culturally & socioeconomically diverse Rochester population of children and young adults with Autism & Asperger's. It is through our collaboration with family members, caregivers, local agencies, county agency partners, and our greater Rochester business partners, that we have been successful throughout the Rochester community for over 15 years. We are committed to the principles of opportunity, independence and realization of individual life goals, "transforming lives one unique individual at a time". Our goal is to create unique opportunities in Rochester for inclusion, employment, workforce development, and social activities through support services and advocacy for those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. OUR VISION The vision of The Autism Council of Rochester is to create a community where Autism is looked at no differently than any other personal challenge and all people are treated with respect and dignity regardless of their differences. WHO WE SERVE Rochester Youth and Adults ages 14 and up living with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. Rochester families in need of support in coping and living with children and young adults with ASD. Service providers, educators, medical professionals, law enforcement & first responders, and the general community at large in search of education, training workshops and techniques surrounding Autism Spectrum Disorder.
