Brighton Volunteer Ambulance

Brighton Volunteer Ambulance (BVA) is the Emergency Medical Services provider to the town of Brighton (Monroe County) NY and mutual aid to the surrounding communities. Providing Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support services is only part of the BVA mission. BVA provides: • Free blood pressure check at our base located at Winton Rd, S at Westfall Rd. No appointment necessary. • Free loan of crutches, canes and wheelchairs for town residents, first come/first serve • CPR/AED training at our training facility or at your workplace or organizational meeting place • Loaner AED program for Brighton community groups and sports teams. • EMS Continuing Education classes for our members and other EMS providers in the region. • Training for staff at doctor's offices, ambulatory surgical centers, nursing homes and Independent Senior Living Centers in our procedures and regional EMS protocols for medical emergencies. • BVA trains all Town of Brighton employees, including Brighton Police and the Brighton Fire Departments, Town Hall and Highway Dept personnel in CPR/AED use. We advise the Brighton Central School District on CPR/AED use. • Stand-by EMS coverage for community special events, such as the Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Meridian Park, the Brighton High School Homecoming Parade, and the Brighton Believes 5K. • Participation in neighborhood picnics and parades • An Annual Open House inviting the community to tour our base, ambulances and visit with our other Public Safety partners. Whether you travel across town via I-390, I-490 or I-590 expressways; or on the surface roads through the Twelve Corners of Monroe Ave, Elmwood Ave or Winton Rd, you are traveling though the Brighton Ambulance District. If you visit your doctor's office in Clinton Crossings area (Winton Rd and Westfall Rd) or in most of the Linden Oaks Medical Campus (Hagen Drive), you are in the Brighton Ambulance District. If you attend Monroe Community College or are work or live on the South Campus of the University of Rochester, you are in the Brighton Ambulance District. Thousands of people travel through our ambulance district every day. We need your help to help them, when they need it most. One day, you may need our help.
