Nestled in the scenic village of Naples, Bristol Valley Theater is a not-for -profit seasonal theater that brings professional theater performances live from New York to the Finger Lakes from June to September each season. We also offer fall and spring programming in a variety of genres (music, dance, comedy, children and family entertainment) and our BVT for Kids program offers theater education programs for nearly 100 local children ages 4 - 17 each year.
Under the leadership of Executive Artistic Director Karin Bowersock, Bristol Valley Theater's mission is: to produce life-affirming theater for a diverse rural and regional audience, to present a variety of performing arts, and to provide training to young actors and offer scholarships for that training based on need and merit. As the only venue of its kind in a 50-mile radius, Bristol Valley Theater serves an audience that would not otherwise have ready access to professional theater productions. With a subscriber base of over 500, the theater entertains nearly 10,000 patrons each year.
A 2010 Keuka College Economic Impact study revealed that Bristol Valley Theater contributes over 1.7 Million Dollars to the local economy each year. Bristol Valley Theater has been named the Cultural Organization of the Year by the Arts and Cultural Council of Greater Rochester and received an Arts Excellence Award from Finger Lakes Arts and Grants Services.
