David's Refuge

The purpose of David's Refuge is to breathe hope, refreshment, and restoration into parents, so they can reduce their stress and press on in the journey of caring for their children. In 2022, we will serve over 1000 families, reminding them there is nothing more important than the love and care they provide for their children. Our service model is based around a community effort of contributions from our community partners including Bed and Breakfast locations, dedicated hosts, businesses and wellness experts. Everything we do is in an effort to support the challenging journey of a full time unpaid family caregiver. We support parents through two-night respite getaways, community events and wellness education. Currently, David's Refuge serves families in Central and Western NY. Our footprint has organically spread from word of mouth, and our extensive agency partnerships with other organizations who serve the same demographic of families. Our plan is to continue our growth in the next 5 years with additional services and support efforts being offered to Rochester families. There is a huge need for a greater focus on the needs of caregivers and their emotional wellness in the Rochester community.
