*Upgrades for Central Library’s Kate Gleason Auditorium*
Your support today will help provide new multi-functional, accessible, and comfortable furniture to update Central’s most used event space, which opens to the Dorris Carlson Reading Garden.
The auditorium is used by the Rochester Public Library on a daily basis, offering diverse programming throughout the year to patrons of all backgrounds and interests.
"The library belongs to the community. That means everyone is welcome and no one is judged. We strive to provide the best service possible to every single person who walks through our doors, no matter race, religion, education, gender, or housing situation." – Patricia Uttaro, Director, Rochester Public Library & Monroe County Library System
Thousands of people use KGA year-round, for educational, entertainment and social programs, including:
• FFRPL events (Books Sandwiched In, Tuesday Topics and the Sokol H.S. Literary Awards)
• Book sales
• Youth showcases
• Training sessions, and more!
Thousands more watch programming held in KGA virtually (in real time with LiveStreaming as well as via the archived YouTube videos posted to the Library’s channel).
Our goal is $26,000 to cover supplemental furniture, fixtures, and equipment not covered by the City of Rochester or Monroe County budgets.
Please give today and THANK YOU!
