The Greater Rochester Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) is a free civics and leadership training program for parents in Monroe County. PLTI helps parents become leading advocates for children, families and their communities. Part of the National Parent Leadership Institute (NPLI), an evidence- based national program that acknowledges the critical role of parent leadership, PLTI differentiates itself by embracing a cross-race, cross-class, and parent-informed, pro-social educational approach. PLTI was established in Rochester by a group of concerned and dedicated stakeholders in 2012.
