The Legal Aid Society of Rochester (LASROC) provides civil legal services to low and moderate-income adults and children on a free or sliding scaled bases in Monroe and five surrounding counties. Our attorneys and advocates represent people in a variety of family, immigration, housing, and education cases and LASROC is the only mandated provider of legal services for children in Monroe County Family Court. Our attorneys are staff deliver compassionate and quality direct legal representation while uncovering additional needs our clients may have and creating appropriate connections to address each unique client’s needs. Our work in the Greater Rochester area and many of the surrounding counties, along with our established collaborative partnerships with various human services agencies in our area, allow us to provide our clients with a holistic, coordinated community response. For over 100 years, LASROC has ensured that those who seek justice have fair and equal access to representation. Acknowledging the strength of collaboration, the four legal service providers housed in the Telesca Center for Justice embarked on an innovative call to increase access to justice for all. Bonded by the shared belief that legal barriers should never prevent those in our community from achieving their dreams, this collaborative partnership combines the wisdom and expertise of Empire Justice Center, JustCause, The Legal Aid Society of Rochester, and Legal Assistance of Western New York. Together, these partners impact thousands of people, empowering our neighbors with equal protection before the law each year.
