Livingston County Habitat for Humanity

Our mission Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Our vision A world where everyone has a decent place to live. Livingston County Habitat for Humanity, established in 1998, partners with people in your community, helping them build or improve a place they can call home. Working alongside volunteers, Habitat homeowners put in hundreds of “sweat equity” hours as they help build their own homes. Homeowners then purchase their homes and pay an affordable mortgage. The self-empowerment created by this opportunity helped homeowner families eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. We believe that with a little help, we all have the potential to stand on our own. To date, we’ve welcomed over 24 families home in Livingston County (Hunt, Livonia, Piffard, Avon, Lima, Dansville, Groveland, Caledonia, Mount Morris, Cuylerville, Scottsburg, Sparta, and Springwater.)

We focus on: Human Services, Community Benefit and Economic Development
