Pluta Cancer Center Foundation

The mission of the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation is to provide support to patients experiencing financial hardships due to their cancer diagnosis and to provide Integrative Oncology Programs to all patients, at no cost to the patient. We continue to see an increase in Patient Financial Needs requests and thanks to generous community support, are able to meet these growing needs. In 2018 we opened the Pluta Integrative Oncology & Wellness Center, the first of its kind in Western New York. The services available through the Center have been shown through rigorous research to be safe and effective in addressing symptoms and side effects of cancer treatment. Current offerings include - Massage, Acupuncture, Yoga, Qi gong, Tai chi, Meditation, Art Therapy, Nutrition Consults & Classes and Exercise Classes. We've expanded this year to include Group Acupuncture and Music Therapy as well. Since the onset of COVID-19 we've transitioned many programs to offer virtual options, so our patients can still receive the benefits provided through Integrative Oncology from the comfort and safety of their homes. The availability of these programs and services enhances the overall medical community in Greater Rochester by providing clinically-proven treatment options that can improve outcomes for people who are undergoing cancer treatment. And, these programs and services are offered to all patients at Pluta Cancer Center and Wilmot Cancer Institute, at no cost to the patient.
