RFMission

RFMission is an open site, serving anyone who lives within Monroe County. Our mission is to embrace, encourage, empower & elevate within our community. Through sharing the love of Christ. Many low to moderate-income families struggle to keep food on their tables due to the escalating cost of basic items, as well as the weak economy. During these times, RFMission is a great place to turn to for help. Each year, we provide food and personal hygiene supplies to over 2000 individuals and families who are struggling with feeding their families on a consistent basis. Our hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9: A.M. - 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, 9: A.M. - 2:00 P.M., and 4:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. Friday by appointment. Free hot meals are provided during the Wednesday evening pantry distribution. Each Thanksgiving and Christmas we provided 700 food baskets. At Christmas, we provided toys for children. Our Hidden Treasures clothing room is a boutique-style room filled with men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and accessories, free of charge. We serve individuals who have needs as a result of the loss of a home from a disaster (such as a fire) or financial challenges from the loss of income, such as unemployment. We provide counseling that may include depression, anxiety, relationship, or family issues. This service is provided in person, via phone, or via Zoom. All counselors are licensed. Senior Connection Program We are living at a time when our elderly population is feeling abandoned. Support for the elderly is essential. During times of isolation and quarantine, many of these individuals need safe access to nutritious food, basic supplies, and medicine to support their physical health and social welfare. We are here for them. We deliver much-needed items to them.
