We connect local families and individuals with international students and international visitors to create friendships, promote international understanding, and enhance the quality of life by promoting citizen diplomacy and globally minded citizens.
Now, more than ever, we need person to person connections to help foster positive U.S. foreign relations. All ROC the Day contributions will go towards our International Friendship Program that serves over 100 new international college students each year by matching them with Rochester residents. Students in the program experience unique local destinations and characteristic Rochester hospitality. In addition, RGC hosts cultural and social activities each year for over 500 international students and local individuals and families that provide opportunities for international students to explore the Greater Rochester community and create authentic cultural experiences.
Through these connections, local community members and international students break down stereotypes and cultural barriers, and help broaden people's worldview which has a multiplier effect across the globe.
Thank you for your support that will have a local and global impact!
