The Rochester District Council of the St Vincent de Paul Society is a 100% volunteer organization that has been serving people in need in Monroe and Ontario Counties for over twenty years. At our two county locations we provide food vouchers, bus passes, clothing, furniture and other household items. In addition we conduct in home visits to those who may need help with various expenses such as rent assistance to avoid evictions, utility bills to avoid shut-offs, and car repairs to enable a person to not miss work. Beyond providing for a person's basic needs, the in home visits also provide for positive social and emotional connections.
