Winton Road Nursery School has been fostering young children’s independence, curiosity and love of learning in Rochester for almost 60 years! Rooted in the ethos of cooperative education, WRNS instills the value of life-long learning for children ages two to five years old. Located at the First Unitarian Church in Rochester, WRNS prides itself on its play-oriented, child-centered environment, featuring engaging, child-friendly classrooms, nature trails, and fenced playground. The experienced teachers and staff cultivate a warm, nurturing environment, and have developed a play-based curriculum that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth in children as well as readiness for kindergarten. As a semi-cooperative school, WRNS encourages supportive family involvement that creates life-long relationships among our families and with the school.
